Road Trips and Fellowships!

Road Trips and Fellowships!

Kevin and I are finding that God is working out our plans in his time and according to his will.  I,  must say I had a wonderful week driving with Kari to Little Rock Arkansas.

Life has been stressful and fast paced and I must say, having a 1,663 mile time out was just what I needed.  Kari, Lady and I hopped into her little Ford Focas and took off on Tuesday evening, October 31.  Two days later, we arrived tired but peaceful.  We had many conversations and had googled many topics as we traveled.   It was so fun!  We got her moved in and settled in her apartment.  It was so fun to have her brother, Jim and Maddie surprise her.  They came from North Carolina and picked up my dog, Lady.

We, also, had a team from Family Life help us unload the POD.  We were so blessed by all that was provided to help Kari get settled.  I am super proud of her!

It was a lonely flight back to LA.  But, Kevin and I are aggressively trying to get the house cleared out and ready to rent.

We enjoyed a wonderful time with our home church, Glendora Community Church at the annual Harvest Dinner last Sunday.  We enjoyed a time with friends and family who celebrated and encouraged our hearts with kind words.     Our church family gave us a generous love offering for tools and a fund to have for some travel after we need some time away together.  We shared our passion for the Philippines and our current standing in our financial giving.  It was a precious time for us.

On Wednesday, we visited the New Hope Naz in Van Nuys.  They listened to our story and many joined our prayer team.  We were excited to learn about their coming Work & Witness trip to the Philippines in February and we are hoping we will get to be a part of it as one of our first teams.  Pastor Rodrigo and the worship team led a passionate time of Thanks to God.  It was a great way to begin our Thanksgiving weekend.

We are trying to take in every moment with family and friends.  Our Thanksgiving Celebration was a precious time.  We are counting our blessings.

Giving update:

We have commitments of $1525 of our $1800 per month financial needs.  We still need commitments of $275 per month.  That is 14 people at $20 per month or 7 people at $40 per month.

Our upfront costs funds are at $13,908.  That is only $1092 from our goal or 93%.  We are excited to see how God is providing.  If you are interested in joining our financial team, Click here for our Giving Page..
